I wish that all of us would live within our means. If people could realize how heavy the yoke of debt becomes I think they would make wiser buying choices. I think it is a shame that it is so easy to get credit...and so many over spend with it. I agree with all you said today...(ha...that is a real surprise isn't it...have I ever not agreed with you???)

I must try that soup. We love soups and we are promised a few cooler days in the 70's are coming up....it sounds like soup weather to me.

Satan started that whole scenario of getting us to focus on what we don't have rather than the blessings God gave us when he tempted Eve in the garden. He made her focus on the fruit she wasn't supposed to eat instead of focusing on God. It's when we lose that focus that we go wrong. blessings, marlene

I'm feeling a bit under the weather today, so that soup sounds like just the thing...now if only you were my neighbor and could just run a bowl over to me! Oh, well...guess I'll just have to do the next best thing and cook it up myself--looks amazing and comforty!

this was just the post i needed today marie-thank you! its hard to not compare yourself to others sometimes and to feel inadequate. but we need to just focus on ourselves, not others and like you said, be the best we can be!

We are influenced by so many things and people in our lives that to be truly ourselves isn't easy for sure. I think things like values and faith and traditions help us to bring out the things we want to be and that is a good thing. To be your self and not sway with the wind is a wonderful thing.

"Rise to the great potential within you..." Oh these are inspiring words and thoughts today, Marie! I am having to make a big decision which has been causing some anxiety and thoughts of failure... We can only do our best every day, and I must be mindful of that. Some doors close, others open. And some of those doors we can even close and open ourselves--we have choices. Hard keeping all the "negative" thoughts at bay, but this post help me--THANK YOU! Very cozy soup today. We've been without a sunny day for two weeks now, so cozy food is often on the menu--LOL!
